South Dakota may not be the first place you think of when you imagine large events and social gatherings that require public safety oversight. Yet, each year, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally draws up to 700k visitors into a town with less than 7k permanent residents and a State Fair that often attracts more than 200k people. In 2020, the State managed a POTUS visit to Mt. Rushmore and large prayers/protests in Madison after the death of George Floyd. Mike Waldner, the State’s FirstNet Project Manager and Niki Papazoglakis, CEO of Mobility4PS, will demonstrate how mobile broadband and the FirstNet Verified App ‘Bridge4PS’ provided agencies across the state with the situational awareness they needed for full interoperability.

Next, Alexander Popof, CEO of Visual Labs, will demonstrate how the Visual Labs App provides a cost-effective means of getting eyes-on-the-scene when separated from an encounter by space or time. This all-in-one FirstNet Certified™ App literally transforms an Android smartphone into body-worn or dashboard -camera.
