Leading for Influence: It Matters What You Choose Each Day

Date(s):
August 13, 2019
Fee(s):
This registration has a fee.

Description:
Leadership positions provide power and authority; however, the rank itself does not instill a desire for followership. The only thing that does that is influence! Influence is obtained when someone trusts, respects and is willing to be guided by you. Not all leaders possess this ability and fewer understand its power or how to develop it. We will explore the mindset and behaviors that are linked to the ability to influence others, teach you how to earn more influence and leave you with a new appreciation of how your daily choices affect your leadership.

Learning Objectives
  1. Describe how to assess your and your organization’s current level of influence
  2. Detail the specific behaviors, tools and strategies you can use to increase your influence
  3. Explain the behaviors you should avoid that lead to a loss of influence
