Session description:
To protect themselves from liability, PSAPs must create and enforce a social media policy. This session will use guidelines from the IACP to help participants begin creating their social media policy.

Session Objectives:
  1. The student will be able to create a social media policy.
  2. The student will be familiar with the necessary parts of a policy.
  3. The student will be able to properly structure a social media policy.

Speaker Bio:
Tina began her career as a Public Safety Dispatcher in 1996. She currently works as a PSAP Support Specialist/Trainer with Tarrant County 9-1-1 in Fort Worth, Texas. Tina also dispatches part-time for a small agency. Tina is passionate about training and has created many courses for 9-1-1 Telecommunicators. When not working at Tarrant County 9-1-1 or her part-time job, Tina is training at agencies across Texas. Tina was awarded Texas APCO's Trainer of the Year award in April for her dedication to training Telecommunicators in the state of Texas.
