Membership Task Force 2026
Objectives
The Membership Taskforce will conduct research and analysis to evaluate APCO’s current value proposition and determine how effectively it meets the evolving needs of public safety communications professionals, agencies, states and international partners. Through member feedback, benchmarking, and assessment of membership trends and participation models, the taskforce will identify opportunities to enhance member value, increase engagement, and strengthen participation and partnerships.
In addition, the taskforce will examine the feasibility and potential benefits of introducing an additional group membership tier or hybrid membership model that would allow states and/or large regions to purchase group memberships with a higher number of full members than permitted under APCO’s current structure. The taskforce will evaluate operational considerations, financial sustainability, and the overall impact such a model could have on membership growth, retention, and APCO’s long-term strategic goals.
