The leading telecommunicator training program has been revised to address Canadian Emergency Services Communications terminology and to introduce provincial and federal legislative requirements impacting Public Safety Communications across Canada.

The PST1, 6th Edition course may be used for new-hire training and existing employee in-service training. All students successfully passing the final exam receive valuable APCO Institute certification demonstrating completion of a training course that meets and exceeds industry accepted national basic training standards.

PST1, 6th Edition Canada complies with the APCO Project 33 recommendation of 54 hours of training instruction. In order to keep live classes taught by APCO Institute instructors at 40 hours, some pre-course study is required. Students will be emailed text for review and completion once the class is confirmed. This course qualifies for three credit hours applicable towards a degree in public safety communications through APCO Virtual College.
